Watford Borough Council's free Big Screen returns.
Residents from Watford will be able to enjoy a ‘cinema under the stars’ experience in two of the town’s beautiful parks this summer as Watford Borough Council’s free ‘Big Screen’ outdoor cinema returns.
Part of the council’s Summer of Fun programme of events, the Big Screen will make the most of Watford’s open spaces in the following locations:
- Monday 26 July to Sunday 1 August – Woodside Playing Fields
- Monday 2 to Sunday 8 August – Knutsford Playing Fields
There is a terrific line-up of movies designed to appeal to all age groups from sing-along Frozen, and family favourites like Minions, Cars, Mary Poppins and La La Land. Grab some popcorn and put down a blanket or bring your own chair while you watch the films.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor said “I'm pleased that we are able to bring our town together in this way and, despite these recent challenges, provide these events free of charge. I know these have been tough times for everyone but many of us will enjoy the opportunity to get outside and enjoy one of the fantastic films being shown. People watching one of the films need to follow the health advice and keep apart from other households at the events.”
Do not attend if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
Big Screen is part are part of a wider programme of Big Events staged by Watford Borough Council and its partners in the town centre and Cassiobury Park throughout the year. For more information visit www.watfordsummeroffun.com
