Watford Borough Council’s Big JiveSwing Festival returns to the bandstand in Cassiobury Park on Sunday 25 July
Watford Borough Council’s Big JiveSwing Festival returns to the bandstand in Cassiobury Park on Sunday 25 July, from 12 to 6pm. The historic Watford landmark will host some of the best internationally acclaimed jazz musicians, bands and dancers during the afternoon extravaganza. There will be live cabarets, dance classes for children and adults, professional dance displays, a vintage photo booth and more – all for free.
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “We couldn’t hold many events last year, so it’s great to see so many of our fantastic and free events return to the town and our parks this summer in a safe way. I’m looking forward to the return of the free Big JiveSwing Festival.
“Music and dancing brings people together and the festival is always popular. It’s a great way of keeping fit while having fun. Don’t forget to pack a picnic for what is sure to be a great day out in Cassiobury, bring your family and friends, and make the most of this fantastic musical festival.”
Bands performing include:
- The Mississippi Swamp Dogs
- The Colin Bray Jazz Band
- Swing Attack Boys
- Laura B
Do not attend if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
