Celebrating green travel and road safety in Watford

Come join us on Wednesday 10 June on The Parade to find out about road safety and how you can travel around town in a more environmentally friendly way.

No-one likes being stuck in traffic. You can help us to reduce congestion in the town and move more freely yourself around town by walking, cycling, taking the bus or joining our electric car club.

Pop by between 10am and 3pm and you can have a bell fixed to your bike for free, sign up to our fantastic E-Car club, find out about electric taxis, mobile bus tickets and much more!

Herts Fire & Rescue Service will be there with their mobile information unit featuring a large video screen and computers with interactive road safety awareness tests. There will be a 'crash' vehicle with demonstrations of cutting open vehicles - along with a simulator car.

You can also chat to the police and have a look around a patrol car. They will be giving road safety and driving advice. Halfords, too, will be on hand to provide car safety seat advice, cycle servicing and other advice and demonstrations.

Exhibitors include E-Car, Electric Blue, Arriva Bus, Herts County Council’s cycling team, Watford Cycle Hub, West Herts College and Herts Fire and Rescue Service.
