Works to repair and restore a bridge over the Grand Union Canal along the Ebury Way will continue until 1 August.
The bridge – located towards the end of All Saints Lane in Croxley Green – will be out of action until mid August. A very picturesque diversion is in place that will take walkers, cyclists and joggers up along the canal past Long Valley Wood, close to Nuttfield Close, then across Croxley Moor to the top of Moor Lane Crossing and back along the canal.
***Bikers are reminded that Croxley Common Moor, a site of special scientific interest, due to the special plantlife and community value, will have to walk across the Moor with their bikes, to reduce the damage to the nature reserve.
This joint project between Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council is part of series of improvements planned to bridges along the canal, for the benefit of our residents.
