At Cabinet on 2 November, Members agreed to a final round of informal consultation with residents within controlled parking zone (cpz) M/N .
This is to ensure that everyone who voted to stay out of the original scheme understands the implications of that vote. The roads that voted to stay out could face more parked cars as a result of the cpz being implemented in neighbouring roads.
Residents who live in the following roads, who previously opted not to receive extended hours, will be asked again if they would like to be included in the fully controlled parking zone.
- Kensington Avenue
- Mildred Avenue
- Queens Avenue
- Hagden Lane
- Whippendell Road (Hagden Lane to Queens Avenue)
- Cherrydale/ Bramleas
Elected Mayor Dorothy Thornhill said: “Road space for parking in West Watford is limited, we know that – and we want to do what is best for the majority of residents. I know it might seem like consultation-overload, but we want to get this right.”
