Helplines at Watford General
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust have set up the following helplines to enable families and carers to keep in touch with their relatives while the visiting restriction is in place. They are also encouraging families to bring in personal mobile phones for their relatives so they can keep in contact:
Family liaison call back service - Due to increased demands on clinical staff, they are providing a family liaison call back service for patients who are in the isolation areas or ITU. The family liaison team will link closely with clinical areas and will update relatives about patients in the isolation areas.
Visitor Helpline - They have also established a Visitor Helpline on 01923 436799. Relatives can call this number for answers to general queries or for signposting to other services. Lines will then be available 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm and managed by clinical and administrative staff.
iPads - A number of iPads will be available very shortly for patients to video-call their relatives.
