The 2017 annual canvass will start in July...
All households in Watford will be contacted in July and August to ensure that their household is correctly listed on the electoral register for this year's annual canvass ready for publication of the new register on 1 December 2017.
The correspondence will tell you who is registered to vote at your property and this information is used to update the electoral register. All households have a legal requirement to respond, even if there are no changes to the address details.
An eligible resident that is not listed will subsequently need to register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote as well as responding to the property correspondence.
If you don’t respond a reminder will be sent and canvassers will visit properties where there has been no response later on in the year.
