Electoral Registration Canvass 2021
Each year, by law, Watford Borough Council conducts an annual electoral registration canvass of the borough in order to update the electoral register.
As part of this we must contact every property to confirm if the information we hold is correct, or if there are any changes required.
Household forms have been delivered to all residential addresses in Watford asking residents to respond (if necessary) to Watford Electoral Services advising them of the residency details of their address for the purpose of voter registration.
Where a response has not been received from those addresses which were required to do so, voter registration canvassers have now been asked to visit in person to confirm this information with residents on their door steps.
If you know you still need to respond, please do so now by one of the means listed on your form.
If any new names are added to your property, they will also need to register to vote individually online at: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
Not responding to your form (where a response is required) will mean that we have to visit your address to confirm if the information we hold is correct. We would prefer it if a visit is not necessary for the safety of Watford residents and our staff. To help us reduce any unnecessary contact and risk please respond to your form online, or by the other methods listed.
If you have any questions regarding your household response or voter registration in general, please contact the Electoral Services office:
