Hettie Hedgehog Visits Watford Primary Schools!

As part of Watford’s Spring Clean campaign from 4th – 18th March, fun and interactive theatre performances were provided to Watford primary schools by the Imajica Theatre Company. During the performance children took part in drama, music and dance to learn about the importance of not littering and taking care of their local environment.  After the performance all children who took part received the Waste Warriors litter activity leaflet, a fun way for the children to pass the messages presented in the assembly to their families and friends.

“This was a fun performance and the children were talking about it for days after. It is beneficial that not only was the performance fun – it was also very educational and picked up on key messages we have been sharing in school.” Ascot Road Primary School

Beautiful Bulbs for Cherry Tree Primary School!

In November 2015, Cherry Tree Primary School took part in our bulb planting activities which are offered to schools each year in the autumn term. Each pupil took part in the activities planting their own daffodils, grape hyacinths and crocuses whilst also learning about how flowers grow and what they need in order to flourish (sunlight, food and water). The Education and Outreach team are looking forward to delivering more bulb planting activity sessions to Watford primary schools in the coming term. If you are interested in taking part in these activities, please get in touch with us.

“The children really enjoyed the session, it was engaging and they were focussed. There was always something for them to do.” Cherry Tree Primary School
