Turner painted this image of the Cassiobury estate

We are a diverse museum, with a collection that includes everything from fine art to the newspaper cuttings of legendary Watford FC Manager Graham Taylor. We're open to everyone, and admission to the museum is completely free - but please check our opening times before setting off.

We are the official museum of popular Premier League football club, Watford FC, and have an extensive collection of sporting memorabilia - including sections dedicated to legendary manager Graham Taylor.

We also have an extensive collection about the historic Cassiobury Estate. This includes an original J. M. W. Turner painting of Cassiobury House, which once stood at the centre of the grounds. The piece was created in 1805.

The museum is also home to a huge collection of costume, textiles, printing equipment.

Even Watford Museum itself is a relic of Watford's past - housed in a Grade II-listed Georgian town house, former home to the great Benskins Brewery, at 194 Lower High Street.

Graham Taylor's scrapbooks can be found at Watford Museum, celebrating every day of his first era.
