Can I attend a meeting?

Council meetings and committees are usually open to the press and public and take place at the Town Hall

Meeting rooms are accessible by lift and also offer induction loop and Wi-Fi facilities.  There is a pay and display car park available behind the Town Hall from 4pm, or other car parks are nearby.  If you are attending an evening meeting you should enter the Town Hall through the Customer Services Centre accessed from the car park.

Committee agendas, reports and minutes are available to view.

If you are interested in speaking at a meeting, please see our speaking guidelines.

There are occasions when confidential matters need to be considered.  When these items are discussed the committee will ask the press and public to leave the room for the duration of the discussion.  Reasons have to be given why the report is considered to be confidential. Full details are available in the Council's Constitution.

Meetings may be filmed, photographed, recorded and/or reported by a party other than Watford Borough Council for subsequent broadcast or publication. If you do not wish to have your image or voice captured you should let the Chair or Democratic Services Officer know before the start of the meeting. For further information, see our filming page.

An audio recording may also be taken at meetings for administrative purposes only.
