Extinction Rebellion - Extinction Rebellion is a global environmental movement with the stated aim of using nonviolent civil disobedience to compel government action to avoid tipping points in the climate system, biodiversity loss, and the risk of social and ecological collapse.
'Friends of' and other resident groups - There are a number of active local resident groups that help look after Watford parks: Friends of Cassiobury Park, Friends of Oxhey Park, Friends of Harebreaks Wood, Courtlands Residents Association (Goodwood Recreation Ground), Ridge Residents Association (North Watford Playing Fields), Watford Fields Residents Association and Watford Green Gym.
Oxhey Village Environment Group - OVEG (Oxhey Village Environment Group) is your local non-political, non-profit residents’ group run by volunteers since 1974, with one of their main objectives to maintain and improve the environment of, and services to the area.
Refill Scheme - Refill allows public places such as cafés, pubs, and restaurants, to register as Refill stations that will happily refill your bottle with free tap water. You can find your nearest Refill stations on-the-go by downloading the Refill app or keeping an eye out for Refill window stickers.
Random Cafe - They are a not for profit project community organisation that aims to reduce food waste and its huge environmental impact, campaign to make our food system fairer and more sustainable. All their food is eaten on a pay-as-you-feel (PAYF) basis, meaning customers can offer a financial donation to the project of what they feel a meal is worth, give whatever they can, or can recognise the value of a meal by donating their time, energy, skills and support.
Watford Three Rivers Friend of the Earth - the movement are looking to create a safer climate, flourishing nature, and healthy air, water and food, now and for future generations. They campaign for change in their community, to make a difference to the environment locally, nationally and globally.
