Small Grants Fund

Small Grants Fund 2018-19 programme now OPEN

This fund offers voluntary and community sector groups the opportunity to apply for a grant to help towards a project or purchase an item of equipment.

We welcome and encourage applications from informal groups such as a group of neighbours, as well as small formal community organisations, grass roots groups, charities, social enterprises and community interest companies.

All groups must be ‘not for profit’ and/or charitable. Unfortunately, we are unable to fund individuals, sole traders, statutory organisations (e.g. local councils, schools, NHS etc) and private businesses.

We're offering grants of up to £2,000 to help fund a project, community initiative or purchase a piece of equipment.

You must submit your application at least six weeks before the start of your project or for when your equipment is required.

Please read the guidance notes and our FAQs for further information on our criteria for funding.

You can also download our example application for ideas on how to complete our form,  read our success stories newsletter or our 2017-18 awards table which has examples of previous projects we have supported.

Our 2016-17 survey results are also available here to see what organisations think of our fund and the improvements we have made.

Should you want to discuss your application in more detail, you can email the commissioning officer.
