Criteria for applying for a disabled facilities grant
If you or someone in your home is disabled you may qualify for help of up to £30,000 towards the cost of providing adaptations and facilities.
This is so that you or the disabled person can continue to live in your home.
The property must be intended to be occupied as the only or main residence of the disabled person for five years after the grant works have been completed.
The person with disabilities will be subject to a test of financial resources to assess how much he/she must contribute to the cost of the works. The need for work is determined by an Occupational Therapist. This test does not apply if the work is for a child or young person aged under 19.
