Homelessness review, strategy and action plan
Every five years, Watford Borough Council must produce a Homelessness Strategy for dealing with homelessness in the borough. The current Homelessness Strategy covers the period 2013-2018.
The Homelessness Review examines the main reasons for homelessness in Watford over the period and any recent trends in housing need. The Review provides context for and indicates key areas of work the council can prioritise in its Homelessness Strategy for tackling and preventing homelessness in the borough.
The Homelessness Strategy is accompanied by an Action Plan which is reviewed annually to take account of new issues such as changes in national government welfare and housing policy and new projects that could be introduced in response to these changes.
The 2016/17 Annual Review covers the Action Plans for the Housing Strategy and Homelessness Strategy.
