Day activities for adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities

Disability Recreation Unity Movement (DRUM) provides day activities, services and support to adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities. The majority of DRUM members were not born disabled but have acquired a disability through accident or illness such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, brain or spinal injuries. Ages range from 18-95! Daily activities include sessions in art, crafts, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, yoga, tia chi, singing, dance, sport and gardening. We also organise regular day trips and outings and in-house services include a hairdresser, chiropodist and masseuse.
Salsa Class and club in Watford

- Cost: £10 class and social, £6 social only, 2 free classes for beginners (see website)
Absolute beginners warmly welcomed. No need for a partner or prior booking. Just turn up and join some of the most friendly, welcoming people you will ever meet.
We start the night with fun filled salsa classes teaching with On2 timing New York Style. New beginners class starts at 7:15pm this is followed by Level 2 beginners and Level 3 Improvers.
Classes finish around 9:15pm. The lights will dim and the DJ will start to play. This is the best time to practice all the things you have learnt and really enjoy salsa On1 to On2. If you've experienced dancing Salsa On1 and curious about dancing On2 you're very welcome to join our level 2 class. If you haven’t experienced a night in the House of Mambo then where have you been?? Every night has been special since our launch but it keeps getting better. Check out the highlights below:

We teach the most up to date modern social salsa as danced at congresses and festivals around the world in the style of Mambo On2 LINEUP 7:15 Doors Open 7:30 - 8:15 pm Level 1 New beginners class - Makis 8:15 - 9:15 pm Level 2 Beginners level 2 - Shailini Level 3 Improvers - Makis 9:15 - 11:30 pm - Party !! Hit the dance floor and enjoy Salsa to the sounds of DJ Sassia
£10 class inc social till 11:30pm £6 social only.

Parking: We recommend the Gade Citipark @ £1/hr WD18 0JX. There's also lots of free parking in Pay and Display areas and resident parking bays after 6:30pm. The road leading upto Gade (Rosslyn Road) has plenty of parking if you arrive early.

The Pump House LIVE Jazz Club- Watford, has been putting on the very best of live traditional jazz for over 40 years featuring some of the jazz world's top musicians. We host a different live band each week playing three sets built around traditional, New Orleans and Dixieland music, but do expect other styles in the mix. Our atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. Everyone with a love of jazz or just a curiosity to hear what goes on is most welcome, young and not so young...
We offer a well-stocked bar with guest ales, snacks and a legendary raffle - always featuring a few surprises!
