Electoral Register E-Canvass - 2019

Each year, Watford Borough Council conduct an annual canvass of the borough in order to update the electoral register. This year the annual e-registration canvass will start in July. 

If you have previously notified us that you would like to respond to the canvass online using our e-canvass service, we will issue you with an annual canvass reminder by email during this time.

Responding to the e-canvass

When you receive your email, please follow the link provided to confirm or update the details for your household. Anyone at your address can respond on behalf of the whole household.

If you have not completed the e-canvass within 7 days of receipt, a paper form will be printed and delivered to you from 9 August 2019. If you do not respond to this, you will be sent further reminders and/or receive a visit from a council official.

Not opted into the e-canvass?

If your household has not previously opted into the e-canvass you will receive a canvass form by post. Guidance on how to complete this form can be found on the annual canvass pages of our website. You can also use this form to advise us that you would like to use the e-canvass for future years. This will help us to reduce our costs and is more considerate of our environment.

You must respond to the annual canvass by law as it is a criminal offence not to provide this information.
