Cassiobury Stay and Play

This group, run by our lovely volunteers, takes place in the education room at the Cassiobury Hub. Free play time for babies and toddlers plus song and story time and a craft activity every week  A chance to chat or make new friends for parents/carers. Daisy's café is just next door for excellent coffee and cake etc.

Cost: Free, but there is a suggested donation of  £1 to help pay for resources.

Cassiobury Explorers - preschool group

Outdoor fun and exploration. For ages two to five but younger siblings welcome.

Cost: FREE.

Every Thursday (term-time only), 1pm Cassiobury Park Hub No.
Yoga in the Hub

Traditional hatha yoga with a focus on bringing balance to the body and mind through breathing, creating strength, energy and flexibility. Suitable for beginners, however those with a regular practice are more than welcome. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one but there will be some available to borrow if you don't (or forget yours!).

Cost: £3 each.
Saturdays, 10am-11am Cassiobury Park Hub Booking is required at our Watford Get Active website.
Home School Forest School

This group is for children aged five and older. If all your children are under five, please go to the FREE Cassiobury Explorers pre-school group instead. (Under-5s are welcome if they are accompanying older siblings.)

Cost: £2 per child.

Bird watching walk

Guided walk to spot and discover more about the bird species found at Cassiobury Park. Please bring binoculars if you have them and wear suitable shoes and clothing for outdoor conditions.

Meeting point: Outside Cassiobury Park Hub at 10:30am.

Stargazing at the Park

Cassiobury Park is so beautiful after dark. Can’t wait for our FREE Stargazing at the Park events at the Hub.

Join us to mark the 50th anniversary of the South West Herts Astronomical Society. Peer through our telescopes and explore the wonders of our solar system as our season changes from winter into spring.

There’ll be children’s activities from the UK Space Agency, and refreshments from Watford Mencap. No need to book in advance – just turn up.

Moses Cook walk

Guided heritage walk focusing on the work of the gardener Moses Cook, gardener to the King who also laid out much of the grounds of the home of the Earls of Essex - now Cassiobury Park.

Cost: £2 per person.

Art in the Park

This event will launch our exhibition of the work of six second-year fine
arts students from the University of Hertfordshire. They will create their
work at locations around the park in the days leading up to the launch,
before hosting activities based on their art on the day itself. This will
give families the opportunity to try out different art activities. Contact our Cassiobury Park team for more information.

Easter egg trail

There are mini chocolate eggs to be won by completing our Easter trail. Contact our Cassiobury Park team for more information.

May Day celebration

Come and see the Morris dancers and make a May crown or a green man
