On 21 December 2021 the Chancellor announced additional financial support for businesses who have been most impacted by the Omicron variant.
This includes:
- Specific grant support for hospitality and leisure businesses through the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant (OHLG) scheme,
- A top-up to the Council’s Additional Restrictions Grant allocation to provide discretionary financial support to impacted businesses that fall outside the OHLG scheme – the Omicron Business Support Grant (OBSG) and Omicron Home Business Support Grant (OHBSG) schemes.
If you are a hospitality and leisure business that offers in-person services, where the main service and activity takes place in a fixed business rates-paying premises, and you are the registered business rates account holder please apply for the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant.
If you are a hospitality and leisure business that falls outside the OHLG scheme or are a close contact, travel and tourism or events sector business, or supply the hospitality and leisure sectors, and the main service and activity service takes place in a fixed business rates-paying premises, and you are the registered business rates account holder or you have fixed rental costs on such premises please apply for the Omicron Business Support Grant.
If you are a home based, freelance or mobile business operating in these sectors and operate from a residential address please apply for the Omicron Home Business Support Grant.
