Disabled people - parking bays
To obtain a disabled parking bay, you must meet the following criteria:
- be in receipt of the higher rate mobility component of the disability living allowance or attendance allowance if over 60
- drive your own car or have a nominated carer who drives you and resides at your address
- provide copies of your driving licence and vehicle registration documents, or your nominated carers, showing your name and address
- hold a disabled drivers Blue Badge
- have no access to private parking
If you do not receive a qualifying allowance because you are of retirement age, your mobility impairment will need to be assessed by the doctor appointed by the council.
