Car parks - private
There are a number of car parks in the area which are owned by private companies.
The Council ensures that they operated in accordance with parking policies on:
- Strategic matters
- Pricing
- Disabled parking
- Safety and maintenance
There are a number of car parks maintained by the Council, these are generally the small surface car parks such as Longspring and the Avenue.
Capital Shopping Centres lease and maintain the following: Charter, Gade, Sutton and Church multistorey car parks. While The Harlequin manage the Palace, Queens and Kings car parks.
