Sports - development
Watford Borough Council's Sports Development service works in partnership with other agencies to create opportunities to encourage the local community to be more involved in sports. If you are an elite athlete or just want to have fun or get fit, Sports Development aims to make sport and leisure accessible for everyone.
How can Sports Development help you?
Sports Development can provide information and advice across the following areas:
- Club development
- School to club links
- Coach development
- Coaching courses
- Obtaining sports related grant aid
- Linking with Hertfordshire Sports Partnership
- Hertfordshire Youth Games
- Sports events
- Summer activities
- Leisure related health schemes
- Physical activity and health programmes
Making it happen
To make sure that we achieve this, we work in partnership with ‘Active Watford’: this is the local Community Sports Network (CSN) and is made up of key partners that play a role in sports development locally.
