Sports - fishing information
The Grand Union Canal which runs through Cassiobury Park offers fishing all year round.
Fishing on the canal is managed by the local fishing club, Watford Piscators: for more information, please visit Watford Piscators website.
Fishing is currently free on the rivers Colne and Gade, but some restrictions apply, and you will need a rod licence: please contact us on tel: 01923 278333 or use the email address at the bottom of the page for more information or advice.
Watford Borough Council is working with Watford Piscators to produce a fishing strategy for Watford: again, please contact us for more information.
