Sports facilities
Two brand new leisure centres are now open: Watford Leisure Centre Woodside opened in June, and Watford Leisure Centre Central opened in August.
The centres are run on behalf of the Council by SLM: please visit their website, www.everyoneactive.co.uk for more information.
Multi-use games areas offer facilities to play five-a-side football, basketball etc., and there is a thriving croquet club based in Cassiobury Park.
There are 5 bowls rinks run by Watford Borough Council, and football and cricket pitches are available for hire in the local parks: please contact the Leisure and Community Services department on 01923 278333 for more information. Tennis courts in the parks are free.
