Watford is fortunate to have a range of art and cultural venues and activities that celebrate the diversity of the town.
The Watford Colosseum features the very best of UK and International Artists from the world of comedy, rock, pop and classical music as well as light entertainment and family events. The venue has four bars and offers pre-show dining in the stylish Forum Restaurant or the more informal Café-Bar.
Watford Palace Theatre is a major attraction in Watford and the surrounding area.The programme is of wide appeal with a priority on presenting new work. It also hosts a variety of one-off performances, incoming tours and the work of our local amateur societies. There is also a programme of films bringing 250 screenings per year to the centre of Watford.
Also in Watford is the Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre which has space for music, theatre, meetings and a small art gallery. Based on Local Board Road, it is run by volunteers who do everything from managing the bar to creating disabled facilities.
Space2 is a programme of exhibitions in spaces across Watford and was launched in the spring of 2006. The aim of Space2 is to promote visual art in the widest sense, providing a platform for local and regional artists to exhibit their work.
