Supported and sheltered housing
If you are 60+ years of age, on your own or a couple and not in full time employment, then you may qualify to be re-housed in sheltered accommodation.
These units allow independent living but with the added security of a scheme manager being on hand to ensure that help is not far away in the event of an emergency.
Sheltered accommodation is advertised through the council’s choice based lettings scheme. To apply you will need to be on the housing register. For more information please see our page applying to the housing register.
