Building control
The principal function of the Building Control team is to ensure that buildings are properly designed and constructed so as to ensure the health, safety, welfare & convenience of people using them.
Building owners have to carry out work in a manner that conforms to the requirements set out in both the Building Act and Building Regulations.
These requirements are made in the interest of public health, safety, welfare, convenience and for the conservation of energy. We can help you achieve the required standards by being a source of advice, checking plans and inspecting building work.
