Disabled people - bus passes
From 1 April 2011, Hertfordshire County Council will be taking over the administration of the National Concessionary Travel Scheme (Bus Passes).
What does this mean for me?
This change has no effect on current passes which will remain valid until their expiry date. From 1 April 2011, anyone wishing to obtain a new pass or renew their existing pass will simply have to send their application (or renewal) form to Hertfordshire County Council instead of their district/borough council.
Paper application forms will continue to be available from the district/borough council offices, libraries, tourist information offices and one-stop-shops for applicants to pick up, or they can be downloaded from www.hertsdirect.org/concessionarytravel
New/ existing applicants
Those applying for a pass for the first time or those renewing a disabled pass will need to complete Form 1 (Application Form). Those renewing an age related pass or requesting a replacement pass due to it being lost or stolen will need to complete Form 2 (Renewal/Lost/Stolen Form). Forms can be downloaded from Herts CC website or picked up from district/borough council offices, libraries and tourist information centres.
Please post all completed application/ renewal forms (along with copies of any supporting documentation) to:
