Grass cutting
Grass areas which are the responsibility of the Council are cut at regularly spaced intervals between the second week in March and the third week in November.
However, continued bad weather can delay cutting and extended dry weather may make cutting unnecessary. Parks and open spaces are cut by the Council's own staff: a contractor employed by the Council carries out all grass cutting on grass verges, housing estates and sheltered housing.
