Graffiti - reporting and removal

Graffiti is an illegal, anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area and contributes to people's fear of crime.

Our policy is to remove any racist or offensive graffiti on public land within one working day after police forensics have given us their permission to do so.  We can also arrange to remove graffiti from private property free of charge where it is immediately adjacent to the highway or other public space, but we will normally require the owner or occupier to complete a form giving us permission to carry out the works.

Other "non offensive"  graffiti can be removed on the same basis as set out above but as part of a rolling priority programme.

To report graffiti or to request a removal form plase call us on tel: 01923 235946 or use the email address at the bottom of the page or  you can report it online .  Please also report it to the Police as criminal damage.
