Recycling, rubbish and waste
Watford Borough Council is committed to reducing waste generated across the town. We are proud to offer a full kerbside recycling service every fortnight, weekly rubbish collections, as well as providing recycling banks across the town, and a bulky waste collection service.
What can you do to help us reduce, reuse and recycle?
- squash and recycle all your cartons
- recycle all your glass bottles and jars
- recycle all your newspapers and magazines
- recycle your unwanted electricals
- reuse your shopping bags
- use your leftovers for lunch the next day
- choose peat free compost
- recycle bottles and cans when you are out and about
- home compost all your kitchen and garden waste
- look for the new recycling labels on food packaging
- donate, reuse or recycle your unwanted clothes
- go waste free for a day
