Nature reserves
The most important wildlife sites in Hertfordshire have been designated ‘County Wildlife Sites’.
A number of these sites are owned and managed by Watford Borough Council. Most of the sites now have ‘Friends’ groups, made up of local residents, and there are many opportunities to help protect and enhance your local area.
