Watford Borough Council
Community grants
The Mayor's Community Fund is available to encourage community groups to participate in projects that contribute to making Watford a town to be proud of where public and local spaces are smart, clean, safe and accessible.
Funding awards will be considered from organisations that address one or both of the following Community Plan priorities:
A town with a high quality environment
- Community gardens
- Specific clean up campaigns e.g. dealing with graffiti
- Tree and bulb planting
- River clear ups
- Work with schools and youth groups
- Sustainable diversionary projects for young people
A town to be proud of
- Events that celebrate the town’s history, community and cultural diversity
- Events that promote Watford as a family friendly town
Please note - the Mayor's Community Fund operates a rolling programme with no closing date. However, funding needs to be spent in the financial year it was awarded.
