Recycling - composters

The Watford Borough Council home composting scheme aims to encourage residents in Watford to compost organic garden and kitchen waste, so that the amount of waste sent to landfill is reduced. In order to encourage residents to do this, we are offering free compost bins to the first 100 residents to apply!

There are three composters sizes available - a 220 litre bin which costs £14, a 330 litre bin which costs £18 or the KOMP (250 litre) £35. In order to claim your free bin, just send your proof of purchase to us here at the Council and we will send you a full refund!

One refund per household - please send proof of purchase to Environmental Services, Watford Borough Council, Wiggenhall Road, Watford, WD18 0FB.

When you buy a bin you can also buy a kitchen caddy for just £4.  All the above prices are inclusive of VAT and free delivery.

If you want to order one of the compost bins, you can either download the attached form, or call: 0845 077 0757 quoting reference HARE, or order your bin online at Recycle Now - a link to which can be found in the External Links panel to the right of this page.
