Adult and community education
There are lots of opportunities within Watford for lifelong learning, for community members of all ages.
Watford Borough Council co-chairs the Watford Learning Partnership with the West Herts College. The partnership aims to increase access to and participation in lifelong learning for individuals and communities by organising a variety of adult learning campaigns and events throughout the year, including Adult Learners' Week and Learning at Work.
West Herts College has campuses in Watford and Hemel Hempstead. They have a wide range of full time and part time courses for adults looking to develop their skills or improve their employment opportunities.
Westfield Community Technology College offers a programme of courses for a moderate fee. Tutors are all have professional experience of teaching their own subject.
Watford Borough Council also works in partnership in Connexions, the one stop shop for young people, run by South West Herts Youth Advisory and Counselling Service, at the YouthPoint Centre for Young People, 206-210 Lower High Street , Watford WD17 2EL.
