Performance

As a Council we are committed to providing high quality services, and we ensure that we do this by testing our performance in a number of ways.

performance

All local authorities undergo an assessment by the Audit Commission, a national body of independent inspectors appointed by the government, of how well they are performing in delivering high quality, cost effective services to their residents. This is known as a Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA). Watford Borough Council is rated as a ‘good’ council, which is the second highest category available.

We also measure our performance in relation to a range of indicators that all local authorities collect. This also allows us to compare our own performance with other councils.

We monitor our performance on a regular basis and report this to our Call In and Performance Scrutiny Committee each quarter.
