Civic recognition and awards
The Audentior Awards are held annually by the Mayor and the Chairman of Watford Borough Council and is an opportunity for the Council to recognise and celebrate outstanding dedication shown by organisations and individuals in the town.
Individuals who have gone that extra mile to help friends, family or people around them, an everday hero who does amazing things. The one attribute that all nominees should share is the quality of being extraordinary in their commitment, dedication, energy and effort in their particular field.
The categories fo the awards usually remain the same each year and are The Mayor's Award, The Chairman's Award for Volunteer of the Year, Good Neighbour Award, Charitable Group, One Watford Sustainable Business Award and Young Person or Group of Young People Award. All nominations are considered by a specially selected panel.
The Council may also make Special Achievement Awards to persons who make an outstanding contribution to the wellbeing or pride of the town i.e. an act of bravery, sporting achievement or innovation of leadership.
