Council budgets and spending
We are accountable to our residents for how we spend our money.
We have developed an increasingly sound financial position and have been successful in keeping council tax increases low. We remain committed to that objective. At the same time, we want to improve the quality and value for money of the services we provide.
To help us achieve this we have established a three year rolling financial strategy - our medium term financial plan, which is reviewed annually in advance of preparing the following year's budget. In this section you can find out more about our financial plan, budget and annual accounts.
