The Council is committed to staff training and development and has a dedicated team to develop our training strategy through determining individual needs of staff.

We believe in formal and informal training depending on individual, service and corporate needs. Training is co-ordinated and managed by a central team in Human Resources and there are service based learning co-ordinators for each service within the organisation.

Training is managed through an annual plan that lays out the programme and budget for the year with a focus on organisational objectives. We believe in developing all of our staff as equitably as possible.
