Watford Borough Council does not operate an approved list for any particular requirement.

Watford Borough Council buys Supplies, Services and Works from a wide range of suppliers and service providers and awards contracts to those organisations that can meet the Council's requirements and standards.

The Council want to help increase the capacity of local contractors, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and Minority (BME) firms to supply us. We hope that increased business locally will, in turn, help local employment and create other community benefits.

The Council will advertise the majority of its contracts on its Supplier Portal.  Over the past 12 months, the Council has advertised 20 contract opportunities through this method and awarded 13 to suppliers it was unaware of.
