Community advice

The work carried out by Watford Borough Council is only one part of the jigsaw when it comes to your community.

Community advice

Some of our top priorities relate to reducing waste generated across the town; creating a family friendly town centre and ensuring cleaner, greener streets, public spaces and environment.

But there are many other agencies working on your behalf in your community - such as the Police, Fire and Rescue Service and NHS service such as the Ambulance Service and Primary Care Trust. Hertfordshire County Council also has a lot of responsibility around things like education in your schools and social services, supporting you or people you know. The MP is also working on your behalf. There are also hundreds and thousands of voluntary groups, faith organisations and support networks all doing their bit.

We're all working together to ensure Watford provides the best quality of life for everyone who lives in or visits the borough.

You can play your part too. These pages offer advice, information and support where appropriate for you to get involved in your own community.

No one can do it on their own - but together we can make a real difference.
