Watford Big Draw goes Rangoli!

Release Date: 6 October 2008

Watford Borough Council has organised a series of free Rangoli workshops as part of the National Big Draw Campaign for 2008.

Rangoli is a form of sandpainting decoration that uses finely ground powder and colours. Residents of all ages are invited to come and produce their own individual Rangoli and then see it displayed as part of our large-scale Rangoli mural in the Harlequin Centre. The bigger the mural the better, so come and join in!

There are four workshops at various locations in the town:

  • Sat 18 Oct - 10.30am -12.30pm, Watford Central Library, Hempstead Road
  • Sat 25 Oct - 10.30am -12.30pm, Watford Museum, 194 Lower High Street
  • Mon 27 Oct - 10am -4pm, outside HMV in the Harlequin Centre
  • Tues 28 Oct - 10am -4pm, outside HMV in the Harlequin Centre

The final display will then be showcased on Wednesday 29 October outside HMV in the Harlequin Centre.
