Net housing completions and projected completions (at 31 March 2012) against East of England Plan target, extended to 2028

Watford has achieved 417 net housing completions for the year 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012, split between 322 private and 95 affordable homes.  The East of England Plan was current during the monitoring year 2011-12 and the housing trajectory detailing past and projected completions is available to download below. It is the Government’s policy to revoke existing regional strategies and the Government laid the first Order in Parliament to revoke the East of England Regional Strategy, coming into force on the 3 January 2013.

Watford Borough Council reviewed the housing targets against all the evidence available prior to submission of the Core Strategy; the housing target in Watford's Local Plan, Part 1 - Core Strategy 2006-31, adopted 30 January 2013, is for a minimum 6,500 dwellings over 25 years, average of 260 per annum.   The housing trajectory figures are reviewed annually and available in Watford's Monitoring Reports which are normally published in December each year, providing data to the previous 31 March; an alternative housing trajectory in respect of the Core Strategy period is available in Watford's Monitoring Report 2012, downloadable below under 'Related Pages'.
