Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is the Council's work programme for preparing the documents that make up the Local Development Framework .

The LDS sets out what planning policy documents the Council will prepare, what policies, issues and geographical areas each will cover, and the timetable for their preparation.

It is the way in which the Council's customers can find out what policy documents should apply at any time and when consultation is taking place.

LDSs are regularly reviewed and must be approved by the Government.

The current LDS was approved by the Government Office for the East of England (Go-East) in July 2007.  It replaces the Council's first LDS, approved in March 2006.

Further information on other documents within the Local Development Framework can be found under the 'related pages' section on this page.
