Changing your browser settings - font sizes and colours

If you have trouble reading text on web pages, you can alter your browser settings in order to modify font sizes, styles and colours and foreground and background colours.

Instructions for altering these settings using the Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Opera and Safari browsers can be found on the Web Accessibility Initiative's website.

Readability

We have made every effort to ensure this web site is easily readable using 'plain english'. In addition, we have ensured that the design of this website is not an obstacle to its usability and readability.

Languages

We are able to provide the information on this site in different languages. On the home page you will find a 'Translations' button on the right hand side of the page. Clicking this button will take you to a feedback form where we ask for your telephone number and a contact name, along with the language you wish information translated into. One of the council's communicators will then call you.

The reason we offer a verbal translation in the first instance is because we have found most of our customers prefer to talk to someone rather then receive a written translation.
